Now that fall is here, we are out of "firsts" with Emma! This will be her second Halloween, her second trip to the pumpkin patch, second Thanksgiving, etc. You should have seen the look on her face when I explained that there will be another Christmas. She was shocked & then just danced around the room! You could just see the thoughts going through her head ~ "Holy Cow! Christmas AGAIN!!!"

It's kind of nice to be done with firsts - because I can really see her settling in even more and feeling more secure that we really are a "forever family".
